    family-friendly service
    personalized attention
    dated decor

great location but minor room updates needed

I appreciated the excellent approach to families with thoughtful details like milk and cookies for kids at turn down service. The staff's attention to our needs ensured a smooth experience during our stay and made us feel very welcomed.

The decor in the Executive Double Room felt slightly dated.

    Lovely location but small rooms

Had a lovely time at this iconic spot! Perfectly located and beautiful building, but we were a bit bummed about the small rooms. The complimentary gin glass was a cute touch, and the staff were super friendly. Make sure to check out the in-room breakfast. it was pretty good! Just wish the bathrooms near the lobby were better.

    crowded gym

i loved my stay at the balmoral! the room was super comfy and quiet, just perfect for a relaxing night. had an amazing dinner at brasserie prince, the food was delicious! the staff were really friendly and attentive, making the whole experience special. the spa area was just what i needed after a long day exploring edinburgh.

the only downside was the breakfast options, it could have been better for what we paid. also, the gym was a bit crowded when i wanted to work out.

    disappointing breakfast

Great stay, but a few hiccups!

Loved the location! Super close to everything in the city. The room was cozy with a fab bathroom, perfect for unwinding. Staff was friendly, especially with our little one—huge plus! The breakfast buffet was pretty underwhelming, though. I wouldn’t recommend the haggis. a nice experience with room for improvement.
